“We are grateful to donors who invested in UNI”
The University of Northern Iowa Foundation received a record $58.4 million in gifts from alumni and friends of UNI during the 2022-2023 fiscal year. The record results were a 35% increase over the previous record of $43.1 million in 2020-2021. The past four years have been the highest fundraising years in the university’s history.

Conceptual renderings will be available soon
UNI is expanding the scope of the Our Tomorrow campaign to include a new training facility for its wrestling program, pending approval from the Iowa Board of Regents. To date, approximately $242 million has been raised over the course of a campaign set to run through UNI’s sesquicentennial in 2026 thanks to the generosity of over 27,000 individual donors.

‘It’s About Our Responsibility to the Future’
As the first of her family to go to college, Heather Knar said the scholarships she received while studying mathematics and applied economics at the University of Northern Iowa opened worlds of possibilities for her. So much so that as students she and her future husband Rob dreamed about paying it forward one day.
