Tomorrow's UNI-Dome
In the nearly five decades since it opened in 1976, our UNI-Dome has become so much more than just a building. Fundraising Goals
Work on the $11.2 million phase one of the UNI-Dome renovation wrapped up during the summer of 2024. Thanks to generous support from donors as well as a $4 million investment from the University of Northern Iowa, the UNI-Dome has a new Teflon-coated fiberglass roof and teams now have access to the Van G. Miller Family Charitable Foundation Football Team Meeting Room.
Phase two of the project, awaiting approval by the Board of Regents, will elevate the fan experience of the UNI-Dome. Over $9 million of the $16 million cost of phase two has been secured to date. Construction will tentatively begin in April with seating ready for the 2025 football season and all work completed by the UNI-Dome’s 50th anniversary in 2026.
Multiple naming opportunities are available and can be accessed through the UNI-Dome renovation website.
